Osteopathic position available
An opportunity has come up in our Burleigh Waters, Gold Coast, clinical team for an experienced or new graduate Osteopath. You will be joining our dynamic team of 5 Osteopaths (as Jayde is starting maternity leave soon).
The clinic has an established peer-to-peer mentoring structure. We have Osteopaths trained from UWS, VU and SCU so it gets some great cross over conversations occurring in our team case conferences. Director and Osteopath Adam has 3 years of clinical supervision experience at SCU as well as 4 years of lecturing experience, also at SCU. Adam combines this teaching experience and 15+ years of full-time osteopathic practice with our structured mentoring program for new grads. This position will suit certain people better than others. We will of course consider experienced osteopaths applying also.
The position available is clearly defined as a contracting position. The contracts are descriptive in expectations and roles in the ongoing relationship. You will be required to run an ABN. The remuneration is attractive for such a busy clinic with mentoring. We will also guide you in marketing your presence within the clinic. Hours are to be negotiated as certain work hours would allocate better to you getting busy, currently, these are mostly afternoons and include a Saturday morning.
The position will best suit an intrinsically motivated, higher energy team player. Someone who can (or is willing to learn to) deliver regular small group presentations, write marketing content, participate in promotional events and of course, the main focus, build a solid manual therapy practice.
Our clinic is set up to deliver osteopathic manual therapy whilst outsourcing to our close network of exercise rehab providers, psychologists, naturopaths, GPs and other allied practitioners as required. (Read as: We have designed the clinic to have manual therapy consult rooms and no exercise rehab facilities are available in-house).
Whilst this is an ongoing role, we prefer a minimum 3-year commitment from you, as we believe where your focus goes, energy flows. This is the minimal amount of time (in my opinion) that it takes to experience the Osteopaths’ role as a member of our community. That is a role of value, of service and of good times shared. So if working at ISSC on the Gold Coast doesn’t appeal for more than 3 years, please do us all a favour and do not apply.
First interviews commence from 31/06/2021 in person if you're local or via Zoom (considering COVID restrictions). Second round interviews, which would need to be in person, as soon as possible after that. Second round interviews include treating multiple people in the team. This opportunity is to start as soon as the best fit for the team is found. We have our part-time Osteopath starting Maternity leave early July.
